Squinting at the ceiling, Kim tries to figure out what woke him so suddenly. It's still dark out, as far as he can tell. Maybe it was one of his companions getting up for the bathroom - Harry is hardly subtle when it comes to moving around at night.
Satisfied with that, he closes his eyes again, prepared to fall back into sleep without any trouble, but another sound has his eyes snapping wide open. In the dark silence of the room it could be as loud as a gunshot.

He’d called it all off the day Mark was born. Separating himself from the drama of the Graysons before a kid was added to the mix. He should’ve sucked it up.
