Uneven strands of green hair, just long enough to barely brush the tips of her eyebrows, flop wet and graceless into her face as she turns to scowl at him. “And even if I were a pretty thing,” she adds, “I wouldn’t be yours. I wouldn’t be anyone’s, Cook.”
Roronoa Zoro swore an oath that she would become nothing less than the greatest. The fact that she is a woman changes nothing.

Summary
At first, he blames it on unrequited feelings. He has been miserably in love with Sanji for an awfully long time. The hurt of that has been slowly simmering, easy to ignore until the two of them started getting physical. Having Sanji’s body without having his heart put a flame to it, brought it to a boil. Something perfectly sensible to cry over, Zoro assumes.
These days, it’s not so clear cut anymore. Sanji gives more of himself to Zoro. Allows him a little more, gets so close to him that sometimes Zoro thinks he could just reach out for Sanji’s heart and have that, too. That he could ask for it and have it surrendered to him. And yet.

Between the thicker pressure of reishi, and the full concentration of his scent, a wave of vertigo assaults Grimmjow and he silently thanks his luck of already sitting down. He wants to roll around in Kurosaki's scent, to drown under it until it permanently seeps into his skin. He has to blink himself back into focus, catching a slight faraway look in Kurosaki's eyes that he suspects means that he's talking with his sword.
“Why do ya want to be scented so bad anyway?” Grimmjow stands up, annoyed with him being physically higher now, and leans in close to glare suspiciously at Kurosaki.
“It's a part of you - us - and I want to learn so I can be good for you.”
