Summary
Alice’s walk to the OIAR was, from an outsider's perspective, the perfect render of an execution parade, heading to the scheduled decapitation of its only member. To her, however, it was worse: that was the walk of someone who just spent a little more than her weekly budget permitted to buy Gwendolyn Bouchard a cup of coffee.

Alice finds out that caffeine and anxiety don't mix well.

Summary
Kaoru didn't know how much he used to love Ainosuke until he took a skateboard to the face. It's no surprise, then, that he still hasn't figured out how much Kojiro loves him.
Letting himself bask in a brief revenge fantasy, Kojiro knocked his foot into Kaoru’s leg. “C’mon, we had a lot of fun, didn’t we? It wasn’t a waste, even if he’s a dick now.”
“Not the skating,” Kaoru said, the duh unspoken but heavily implied. “I wasted my first love on a guy who hit me in the face with a skateboard.”
“Oh,” Joe said, the admission hitting him harder than he would ever admit — even if he’d suspected it all along. “It happens?”Bookmarked by WilliamMinerva

Reaching out, he took Kaoru’s hands in his own lightly enough that he could escape with minimal effort; after a moment of stiffness, though, Kaoru’s hands relaxed into his own without pulling away. “Did you have fun with me tonight?”
“If you’re trying to feel for my pulse to detect any lies, you should know that those tests don’t actually work,” Kaoru said instead of answering the question. Kojiro raised an eyebrow, but told himself that if he’d wanted things to be easy, he wouldn’t have fallen in love with Kaoru.

Summary
Inspired by a Tumblr prompt sent to me by my amazing girlfriend.
Hiromi Higa works in a flower shop when Joe comes storming, slaps a bill on the counter and says "How do I passive-aggressively say fuck you in flower?"

It was obvious that he was here for something but couldn’t find the courage to ask. Florists recognize those type of behaviour from miles away and Hiromi was a damn good florist.

Summary
The client Kaoru brings to Sia la luce is young, handsome, rich, probably knows nothing about calligraphy, but is obviously very into him.
Kojiro doesn’t like it. Not one bit.

They are also used to seeing Kaoru on the counter seat even as they go, so they wipe the wine glasses ready for use instead of leaving them beside the sink to dry.
So much of this place knows Kaoru so well. Sometimes it's as though it sits in wait, only going through the motions until Kaoru returns to slot himself in the space made just for him.

Summary
"Martin had never been given flowers before. Ever. Not even a boutonniere in high school. Not by a woman, not by a man, and certainly not from a man with piercing eyes and a voice that was pleasantly deep even when it was sharp with temper. Cheeks red as the flower he was being offered, Martin took it from Jonathan’s hand as carefully as if both were made of glass. "
Martin runs into a grumpy florist one morning when his commute is interrupted by technical difficulties. When he's given a flower as repayment for a spilled cup of tea, he ends up finding himself unable to forget his run in with Jonathan Sims. (AKA, a JonMartin florist AU, where nothing is spooky and the biggest issue is Jon's lack of people skills. Just fluff! And yes I know the title is terrible but I had to do it)

Bookmarker's Notes
His usual inclination to believe there was no way he would get a happy ending was at war with every moment that had given him hope: Daisy’s rough encouragement, Tim and Sasha’s support, every one of Jon’s careful smiles. On their own each one might have meant nothing, but together they had added up to more. And Martin wanted to believe in that sum more than anything, even if he never had been good with numbers.
But then Jon emerged from where he’d rummaging behind the counter—disheveled, flushed, and holding an object sporting a bow—and maybe Martin was better at maths than he thought.

Summary
Sometimes love is feeling helpless. Sometimes it's making sacrifices.
And, sometimes, it's laughing your asses off together while drinking terrible boxed wine and talking about what was—and what's to come.
(Alternatively: Nearly a decade later, Kaoru’s finally forced to face his feelings.)

“At least we don’t have that problem,” Kojiro says. “We’re like falling petals and a flowing stream, aren’t we?”
The yojijukugo Kojiro uses in this fic ("falling petals and a flowing stream") is 落花流水, which in meaning is translated to "mutual love" ;) It evokes the imagery of falling petals that are drawn to the running water, and the water that will gently carry the petals along.
