Summary
For a short while, probably more than he’d had any right to expect, Wei Wuxian had managed to feel like himself again. His clothing might have been rougher, and pockets certainly lighter, but sitting across from Lan Zhan sharing a meal without cross words or demands flying back and forth across the food…

Unedited ice-cold read of show me how to lay my sword down by Stratisphyre. By which I mean, it's a cold read in both senses of the word as currently used in the podfic community: 1) I have not read the fic before (I didn't even read the tags!) and 2) you get my live reactions as we go. And the unedited part? What it says on the tin: all the flubs, the noises from me moving around the room or from vehicles outside, etc, are all left as-is. I did do audio volume leveling and removal of dead air, that's it.

Summary
Many have flocked to Liyue to try their hand at conquering Rex Lapis’ Path of Indomitable Jade, rumoured to be relentless in its challenge but bountiful in its reward. Unsurprisingly, Ajax’s one track mind honed in on the word challenge and ran all the way to Celestia with it.
No one told him it was a bygone tradition that vied for the emperor’s hand in marriage, not until much later, when Liyue was already decked to the nines in preparation for the coronation of the emperor’s beloved consort– an Ajax-shaped consort.
(In which a bored Childe thinks he’s scaling up mountains to fight adepti and gain bountiful gifts for his nation and all that jazz, but he actually ends up wooing one of them and fighting favour from the rest and-- uh, wait, what do you mean the eccentric rock enthusiast is the emperor--)

Summary
You and the others aren’t really sure what the Incident is, only that it happened, and it happened to Crowley.
The first big change: you’re back in the flat. Everyone is elated (the Anthurium pushes out three new leaves to celebrate). Everyone except for Crowley, who flops facedown on his throne and stays that way for the rest of the week.
On the morning of the eighth day, he drags himself up.
“Right,” he says. He stares ahead without blinking for a moment. “Carry on, then.”
