"How can anyone hate the rain?" She giggled as she danced around under the rain. Puddles splashing around without a care in the world.
Aquamarine eyes gleamed in delight and childish happiness.
Her fine blonde hair and pretty blue dress soaked wet.
"Well, c'mon then. Aren't you excited, too?" Her eyes landed on him as she extended her hand towards him.
He smiled fondly, under the water droplets soaking his suit until it stuck onto his skin, "Perhaps it's you who made me like it." He finally took her hand.
He wrapped her in his embrace, their bodies met, his warmth shared onto hers.
As he twirled her around and she laughed out loud, full of life and joy.
He couldn't help but let out a few chuckles, his face smiling alongside hers'.
He is happy if she is.

Summary
Marinette Dupain-Cheng is done. Done with the lies, done with Hawkmoth, done with her class, done with being forced to react instead of taking action.
She rededicates herself to her duties as Ladybug and a student- working hard to tie up loose ends. When Ladybug defeats Hawkmoth, she feels the weight of the world lift off her shoulders. Free to leave Paris, she applies to a new school. The Dupain-Cheng's waste no time, they pack their bags, lease the bakery, and move to Gotham, New Jersey. There, Marinette gets a fresh start in a new school.
Marinette can be who she wants to without worrying about bullies... But it wouldn't hurt to be careful- would it? She doesn't worry about swaggering, haughty classmates as she focuses on keeping her head down- until she meets Damian Wayne.
Damian is not jealous of the smart, likable, reserved- but still excitable Parisian that he shares almost every class with. He isn't. He refuses to deal with such a naïve and substanceless girl- until she corrects him in class.Damian gets payback, correcting her as he sees fit. He refuses to lose to such an unworthy opponent. She will not win.

Summary
Countess Rosa Evegreen is being raised by her uncle in the wake of her being orphaned by her parents' death. She is raised to be a proper and well educated lady, but she finds herself wanting to make her own choices and chase her own dreams. One day she enters the private area of the Haspran Gardens and meets a silver-haired, golden eyed young man with glasses, dressed in shabby clothes, working in the garden... and everything changes.
SFW, Aristocracy setting, not modern but vaguely in the 1800s/industrial revolution era. For reference, Rosa is 16 and Vilhelm is 18 even though they would have been considered adult during that era.
Updated whenever I have chapters ready. No, I haven't dropped Cherry Picking; it's just on hiatus while things are a mess.
Edited to add: I was banned on the official Discord server for 'sexualization of minors' for this story even though none of the sex stuff happens to Rosa; I had to tag it that way because there is reference to stuff like that she *hears* about later on in the story, but nothing sexual happens to her *because this is a safe for work fic.*
