Summary
I feel gravity come back to me, but the straps in the chair keep me steady. I hear something crash in the lab below me, and then another—clearly, there are a few things I failed to prepare for descent towards Earth properly. My stomach drops—not because of the change in gravity, you get used to it after a few years in space and foreign planets—but the pure anxiety. I left Earth not expecting to return, and here I am, falling towards Earth at incredible speed.
