The world had gone to its end. A zombie apocalypse spread menacingly across every corner of it.
Hellen’s fosters world had ended a long time ago, she had lived among chaos and disgusting human beings for the last few years. So, when the dead came back to life, she wasn’t scared. For a girl just in her twenties, she moved as someone who has lived the worst and survived. She felt like she had endured enough, and survived anything.
Anything, except him.
Negan was the kind of man she wanted to avoid, the kind her instincts warned her about, yet, he was the only one that could make her feel like she was something.
Nothing between them was right. But, in a world where human decency and morality had become a luxury, they erased the only rules that were left behind, just to be near each other for one more second.
Whatever their bond was—their weird and dangerous bond— was never meant to be, nor survive.
In a world where only few people were meant to survive, Hellen wasn’t afraid of human-flesh monsters. Because, for the first time, she had encountered someone who could make her feel vulnerable, and afraid.
And he didn’t scared her.
He intrigued her.

You don't wind up in his class on purpose, per se. It's more of a happy, semi-engineered accident. Sure, you may have been a fan of the underground hero Eraserhead since before he officially debuted, but your goal has always been to be a top-tier Pro Hero, not to stalk an idol to his place of work. Being in Eraserhead's homeroom class is absolutely, categorically, not the goal. But it certainly doesn't hurt.
It isn't a crush. It's… Mutual admiration. Platonic affection. A teacher providing support for a dedicated student.
At most, you could call it an admissible schoolgirl fantasy. For his part, Aizawa can't afford to see it as anything else.
If you hadn't found yourselves in such close proximity, you might have spent your whole lives happily believing this.
