This was typically the part where Rumi would be expected to introduce herself, but she didn't seem to give a flying fuck about what was expected of her if the way she still just stared even as Celine cleared her throat pointedly said anything.

Rumi squinted between them and the bag. "Why."
"Because as much as you don't seem to like us, we like you just fine."

"Well, come on. Aren't you going to bite somebody with those big sharp teeth of yours?" Mira prompted again with a raised brow, shaking Zoey's arm slightly, as if genuinely trying to entice Rumi to take a bite.
Instead of taking the proffered bait, Rumi turned her head away with a strong air of ‘well now I don't want to.'
"Thought so." Mira drawled, unimpressed. "Now how about you let us help you inside?"

Summary
In this series, Tigerclaw mentors Firepaw, a starving young rogue the clan cats stumble upon in their territory. Firepaw was brave enough to take on a fox, but his diminutive size and quick temper leave a lot to be desired. Believing in a prophecy given to her by Spottedleaf, Bluestar gives Tigerclaw the young tom as an apprentice. But threats arise in the forest as Brokenstar consolidates his power, pushing kits to train and setting his sights on the other clans' territories. Firepaw must learn under his brutal mentor to defend the things he now holds dear, or lose it all, as he has before. [What if Tigerclaw was not evil? What if Rusty was not a kittypet, but a rogue? This is a total rewrite of the first Warriors arc with non-evil Tigerclaw, and a longer threat from Brokenstar and ShadowClan. Many events will obviously be changed, and some characters who survive in the original story will die, while others who died will live.]

If all men were threats, and everyone was actually out to get her? This Percy is a little more jaded and cynical. She has questions that no one is answering (Chiron!), and she is tired of getting blamed for things that she didn't do. The gaslighting and lying were getting old really quickly, too.
Percy has her mom, and that is all she needs in the world. She spent her whole life never fitting in anywhere, and she didn't need to with Sally in her corner. Until suddenly, her mom is gone, Percy's actually a demigod, her best (and only) friend is a goat, and the gods are out to get her. Percy was unwillingly thrust into a world hidden from her for her entire life; her heritage as a forbidden child of one of the three brothers was kept from her. The same god who refused to save her when she was abused by Gabe, yet expected her to fall in line when he claimed her after twelve years of silence, because he was accused of stealing?
Just who was the lightning thief, and why did everybody seem so convinced it was a twelve-year-old?
