Summary
Percy had thought they were heading for better times. Zeus was sane again, and he can feel the difference in the mortal and mythical worlds around him more by the week. He was solid friends with Nico again, and Leo's back whole and hale. Things might not be the best, but he’d thought they were on a good trajectory.
It turns out that you really can’t help people who don’t want to help themselves, and Jason’s worries about Triumverate Holdings is the least complicated of Percy’s issues. Annabeth is getting worse, and nothing Percy’s tried has seemed to get through to her. Worst of all, their relationship, which had carried them through all their challenges before, seems to be falling apart around the two of them, and he can’t figure out what to do.
He’s just praying that his mom’s pregnancy remains boring and easy. He can’t handle anything going wrong with Estelle’s birth too.

Summary
I’ve been having Thoughts and Feelings about Poseidon’s lack of his legendary protectiveness, and Sally Jackson’s so called Good Mum-ness. Especially because, well, yes EPIC: The Musical is to blame. Who knows, maybe that fandom will pop its head in at some point, too...
DISCLAIMER: I don't hate Sally. I love Sally. But I needed to create a space where I get to explore some of what the books denied us in various forms and at various stages. I know the books are written from Percy's perspective so that definitely colours things, but I am hoping to explore things in a more realistic and balanced light.

Odysseus' eyes landed on him like a cement brick. He still had Percy pinned to the ground, a hand at the base of his throat, nearly wrapped fully around it. He scrutinized Percy's expression, the cool determination in his sea glass eyes. Percy had done this before. He's seen the death and resurrection of countless monsters, gods, and titans; mythology reborn.
He's seen his friends become the blood that watered battlefields. He's been to more funerals than birthday parties.
"Who the fuck are you?" Odysseus growls down at him, palms tightening around Percy's windpipe minutely.

Summary
The only relief to the current situation was that somehow it wasn't escalating to outright violence. Zeus wants a vacation. Apollo wants to find a way to move further forward in line. Aphrodite wants all of this to last at least a century. And Poseidon just wants to hold his grandchildren.
