What if Adam left Home Free in 2016 instead of Chris? And what if, through a freak accident, the Adam from our world fell into that other Adam’s world, and vice versa?
Data point: there was no picture of their family on his phone. Data point: Ericha didn’t know him.
Deep breaths. He would not panic.
Theory: either he had gone mad, or he had slipped into an alternate universe where he and Ericha hadn’t met.
Best course of action: Hmm. If this were a role playing game, clearly the best storyline would be for him to find Ericha and use his secret knowledge about her to make her fall in love with him. But another even better storyline would be to find a way to get in touch with the Adam Rupp from this new universe who, probably, had been pulled into Adam’s own universe. They would work together to get Adam back to his own universe. Because there was no way that Adam was going to settle for a universe without his kids in it. No way, no how.

There are many trials for a hobbit attempting to make a life among dwarves. A hobbit wants a garden. A hobbit wants to eat regular meals. A hobbit wants friends, good books, and comfortable chairs. Bilbo does his best to carve out a little hobbit life for himself in the mountain. If only there were not one final obstacle. For a hobbit heart wants love, and among dwarves that is a sticky subject.

Summary
Linked stories set in a UFO-heavy conspiracy press universe of Frohike/Mulder, Byers/Langly, with Jimmy Bond pining after Yves Adele Harlow, and Dana Scully hanging around mostly by phone. The Black Mailbox, in Nevada near Dreamland, is something of a pilgrimage site for UFO believers. It's a good place to meet kindred spirits and spot the unexplained.
