Gojo Satoru thought he'd be forgotten eventually if death decides to take him.
That's how the life of a sorcerer was supposed to work. No one would know when they would die or when they would last spend their time with their loved ones. People will grieve, they will heal, and they will continue living. He knows his students would cry, curse him for leaving, then grow into the sorcerers he always believed they could become.
The moment Satoru gets sealed, he expected darkness and pile of bones await him on the other side. Instead of such things, he found himself in a place he could recognize and at the same time, couldn't.
Everything changed, and everyone is gone.

Yūji swallows and repeats it, softer this time. “Satoru.”
He gives a quiet hum of approval. "Good."
A comforting silence ensues – not heavy, but calm.
"Rub my back, Yūji." Satoru pouts, eyes soft.
“…You’re impossible.”
“And?”
Yūji feels his breath catching somewhere in his chest. “…You’re pretty.”
Somewhere between loss, grief and something dangerously close to wanting—
Yūji realises he’s already in too deep.
…and he doesn’t try to leave.
