Summary
With a sigh, Steve places his phone on his nightstand. It somehow tips off the edge and knocks hard against the ground, and when he goes to pick it up he smacks his head against the side of the nightstand, causing a loud banging noise from the impact and a shriek of pain from him.
Within two seconds, there’s another text pinging through to his phone.

Summary
By the time snow starts falling in Hawkins, Steve finds himself watching Billy more than he watches Chrissy.
Of course, he still occasionally looks at Chrissy. Like when Billy showed up to school wearing a new pair of boots and his eyes searched Chrissy’s face to see if she even noticed.
She didn’t.
Steve did, though. He also notices when Billy occasionally keeps his shirt on during gym class and how he’ll sometimes favor one side over the other, wincing when other people in class bodycheck him.
He notices a lot about the other man now, even down to the birthmark under his shoulder blade, just big enough for someone’s lips to press against.
