Summary
Jackie and Natalie never got along. No one could say they were close, and there was a lingering, silent rivalry going on between them.
However, wanting to make Shauna jealous because she's been drifting apart from Jackie lately, Jackie comes to Natalie as her only salvation. Jackie chose Natalie to fake a relationship in exchange of doing her homework for as long as the fake relationship lasted.
Why she chose Natalie? Easy, because it was probably the girl Shauna would be the most jealous about, given her history with Jackie.
