“Tempt you, huh…?” Kafka repeats the last part of her sentence, her voice dropping into a sensual drawl Himeko has never heard before. Something mysterious flashes through her smile, dangerous, and yet Himeko doesn’t see the warning signs while Kafka hums.
“What makes you say that?”
“The way you speak to me. It’s not normal, and you know it.”
She notices her body going still for a second before Kafka is chuckling at her words, as if what she just saw was a part of her imagination. “You got me there.”

Breath hitching, Himeko traces over the letters with her finger. It trails lightly over the uppercase 'H,' pausing briefly over the arches of the 'm,' and then digs its way over to the looping 'o.'
That is her name. Someone left this here for her. Someone left a container with her name on it, on a planet that's dying under the weight of its own blizzards; a planet that Himeko has never seen before in her life.
