Summary
Mere months away from graduating and leaving the country life behind, Goro visits family one last time before a more permanent move. There, Goro is confronted by a former could-have-been love, a hesitance to look closely at their current situation, and the understanding that in order to be yourself, you might have to learn to love again.
--Akira jams his hands in his pockets, face growing pink in a way that certainly isn’t caused by the sun. “I- Y’know… It suits you… You…” He fumbles for his words, staring at the sky as if he’s willing the universe to strike him dead. With a huff, Akira settles his gaze back on Goro, and his words tumble out. “You look beautiful.”
Goro’s trowel hits the ground with a soft thud. He sits back on his haunches, covered in dirt, soil, and plant particles, staring blankly at Akira. It belatedly occurs to him that maybe his normal defenses shouldn’t be implemented here. That perhaps Akira endlessly appearing in his thoughts means something other than offense. Something closer to affection — resurrected after too long a separation.

Summary
Joker has a habit of fixing his gloves. Just tugging, stretching at the fabric, playing with the cuffs. He doesn't crack his knuckles like Sakamoto does: he's worse, he pulls at his own fingers and stretches the joints until he hears a satisfying pop. He fidgets with his gloves when he's thinking. And Joker's always thinking about something or another. It's why Goro hated him the most out of these foolish Thieves: he's thoughtful, perfect, meticulous.
Goro's—fixated. Distracted. Attention captured as easily as a bird within a wolf's jaws. And Joker hasn't noticed yet, but he will soon if he can't fucking stop looking.
Joker's got Goro wrapped around his little finger. Literally.
