All Might already knows it's for Izuku, but the question is not exactly about that and Katsuki is perfectly aware of it; he can see it in the soft smile of Izuku's mentor, he can see it in the way his blue eyes shine with knowledge.
Katsuki blushes, but he doesn't look away from the former symbol of peace. He's not that middle schooler hot-heated kid anymore. He's done hiding his feelings behind anger and he's not ashamed about what he feels for Izuku. He's pretty sure All Might knows about that, he's probably waiting for a confirmation.
Katsuki nods, blush spreading down his neck.
"It'll take years to make something like that."
"I'm aware."

What he doesn't expect is to meet someone who fits into his life like he's always belonged there, who takes him on dates and kisses him sweet, who makes Izuku feel warm inside and out.
Or, Izuku visits the town's annual harvest festival with his friends, meets an extremely handsome, angry man while waiting in line for candied apples, and falls in love. There's not as much time between those last two things as Izuku might've expected.

Katsuki doesn't much care about his birthday, but that doesn't mean he'd like to be alone for it. They’d only been officially dating for a few weeks when Izuku was called away to be smart and brilliant and amazing at some conference in America. While he’s gone, Katsuki receives a series of birthday surprises throughout the day that make Izuku's absence a little more bearable.
By the time Kirishima nearly kicks his door down to drag him to lunch with the squad, Katsuki is feeling thoroughly seen and known and loved and is incredibly cranky about it.
And then he receives his last surprise at 11:42 PM and decides his birthday sucks in the best way possible.
