    Summary

Cas moved forward, a thoughtful look graced his features and he stood in front of Dean, intoxicatingly close, but not close enough for Dean to find a reason to take a step back. The storm raged inside him, every inch of him begged to run his mouth along his body, to leave hot trails fire on his skin. But Dean was afraid to burn them both, he shied away from the fire because he was afraid of the searing heat.
Cas seemed to notice Dean’s shifting feet and the flash of desperation before glancing away, tugging at his collar to redirect the heat. He tilted his head again, eyes raking up and down Dean’s body, making him feel utterly naked.
“Do you need personal space?” Cas breathed, but seemed unwilling to move back. Infact, their proximity was like a magnet, drawing each other in until there was no space left between them.
“Don't give me space,” Dean gasped, all rational thoughts he once had seemed irrelevant now. “Space is the last thing I need from you.”

“But for an angel…we are intimately connected with the universe at large. Even what lies beyond it. And still, to know the placement of every star in every constellation and galaxy… only God would be able to replicate it perfectly.” Cas stares at him.

On the TV, images of galaxies appear, one after the other.

“What are you sayin, Cas? That you have a god complex?” Dean tries for a joke, but the look on Cas’ face says he doesn’t find it very funny. To be honest, it had already begun to fall flat on the way out of his mouth.

“No,” Cas shakes his head, “it’s just...the way that I see you sometimes.” He pauses to look at Dean fully, eyes searching his. There's an ache in Dean's chest. “I forget you aren’t an entire universe.”

When Dean sits down to watch some bullcrap Discovery Channel episode with Cas, he doesn’t expect to actually learn anything. Except, with Cas explaining, he makes an effort to connect the dots.

    Summary

Everything Castiel is, everything he’s made of, is hitched to a thin golden string attached to Dean Winchester’s soul, tugging him closer, begging him to let them collide.

He recalls Aristophanes’ story of creation; the one in which humans were split in two as a divine punishment, forever in search of their other half.

Cas is not human, but he understands the sentiment.

    _____

In which Dean is finally in a world without impending catastrophe, but it's also a world without Cas. He spends all day fighting not to think about it, and at night, his sleep is haunted by grief.

But then his dreams start to feel more and more real, and no grave can hold Cas down.

    Summary

IS A STRANGER WORTH THE WRATH OF OLYMPUS?

It is said that an experienced hunter shall meet the path of a fallen god. The mortal’s faith in the Goddess he worships must decide whether he kills his prey or shows mercy, and the Fates shall write the future accordingly; the divine entity will either die to the wounds of his fall or will perish as mortal.

Dean worshipped the Goddess of Hunt, Artemis, for as long as he could remember. But when the prey that the Fates have chosen for him crashes into the field of the Artemis temple under his care, he doesn’t draw the feathery arrows from his quiver.
