Summary
Tim Wright leaves The Heart of Dixie, Alabama, and flees across state lines to Eureka Springs, Arkansas, widely known as one of the most haunted towns in America. Granted, it's the haunted that brings in families with deep pockets seeking attractions and gift shops, rather than the type of horror that Tim had just escaped in his hometown. Unfortunately for him, he isn't the only tainted soul that's been attracted to the infamously haunted Eureka Springs, as familiar (and not-so-familiar) faces have all gathered in the spring this summer, all in search of the same thing. In the midst of it all is college dropout Wren Locklear (a name most obviously chosen), whose extensive gap year was previously spent volunteering at the local community arts building, who is now edging closer and closer towards horrors they haven't even begun to understand, all started when they crossed paths with a certain hooded, like-minded stranger in the cemetary and spoke of the birds.
These forests and secrets here run deep, deeper than the tunnels that run under Eureka Springs. The spirits here are festering, angered by the appearance of darker forces. But the locals? The Church? They are oddly calm, blissfully "unaware" of what is transpiring.Bookmarked by antlerluvr
