He’d never had the opportunity to sit down and sift through all the shit in his head, all the things that happened when he was young, and try to make sense of it all. Who has time for self-actualization when you’re a criminal running around Otheon like a rat in a maze just to afford to feed your kids? It was embarrassing, almost, how unprepared he was to deal with the revoltingly honest mess in his head rushing up to meet him once the universe finally decided to give him a break.
