Summary
After accidentally setting her high school’s radio club on fire right before spring break, Emma and her family are forced to move from California to Hawkins — a quiet town where a local scientific investigation group seems to be the only one capable of helping her with her special condition, and maybe even giving her some answers.
Emma didn’t expect much — just to settle back into something that resembled a normal life, if it ever had been one. She didn’t believe her problems would magically disappear just because they moved to a town lost in the middle of nowhere. She wasn’t even far enough away for that. She would have to dig her own grave before anything felt normal again.
But what she definitely didn’t expect was to end up babysitting a group of kids — her younger sister included — alongside the last person she wanted to deal with: her lab partner’s obnoxious boyfriend, Steve Harrington.
She expected the dimensional creatures, the portal, the lab, the kid with superpowers… but him?
And most of all, a bunch of kids taking charge of saving the town from lethal creatures from another world?
Weren’t there supposed to be actual authorities for that?
