Summary
Alicent spends her days wrangling senators and outmaneuvering political rivals. Rhaenyra spends hers explaining medieval politics to half-asleep undergrads. And Aegon? He’s somehow both their live-in babysitter and their biggest headache. Every day is filled with morning chaos, flirty texts, and bedtime stories. It’s messy, imperfect, and completely theirs.

Summary
“Rhaenyra,” Alicent’s voice was a sharp hiss, though she kept it hushed so as not to wake the keep. “What... what are you doing here?”
The princess stepped lightly into the room, closing the door behind her. She moved with the ease of one who belonged, her bare feet making no sound on the stone. Rhaenyra was dressed in a simple nightgown, its pale silk clinging to her form, flowing as she walked. She made no effort to disguise her presence, nor to apologize for the intrusion. “I could not sleep,” she said simply. “I thought I might offer you some company.”
“Company?” Alicent repeated, the word foreign on her tongue as she stared at Rhaenyra. She felt exposed, scandalized, and her cheeks flushed with it. “You should not be here. It is improper.”

Summary
After the death of the Good Queen Aemma, there was a long dark time raging in the Red Keep, and by that time Rhaenyra had different eyes, the thirteen-year-old lavender-eyed girl went through puberty in a different way. Alicent saw no danger in the girl who seemed as docile as a fed cat. Maybe it was foolish of her, the futile thought that a dragon could be docile, not when it was obsessed with something and starved for touch. Nothing could truly hurt such strong and wise creatures.
Looking now at the young girl who grew up with war, pain and loneliness, Alicent knew, deep down she always knew. She shouldn't have been kind to the one who could ruin her father's plans. But there was no turning back, and now in front of her, purple eyes of a shade so dense and dark that it seemed curious, but she had a devotion and focus only on something, hungry to sink sharp fangs into flesh.
"Be blood from my blood, but if you touch what is mine, you can forget your life."
