It flits through the space In-Between sleeping and waking up, whispering fervently in the ears of all who will listen. “Don’t go to his office,” she hisses, a reproachful, whispery lilt that slithers into their dreams and cycles through on loop until they open their eyes. “Headmaster Grimm’s. Don’t go to his office, only bad things happen there, you won’t come out the same.”

Summary
The sound of a broken heart is a little like wind chimes: it starts off hopeful, musical, and quickly becomes a cacophony. Sounds overlap until you can’t bear to listen anymore, and you cover your ears. Once it’s muffled, a tiny piece of you dies, because it could’ve been beautiful. It’s not their fault you couldn’t take it.
