Summary
A few weeks after stabilizing the Circus and coming to terms with their permanent life there, the gang agrees to bring Caine back- on the condition that Kinger rewrites his code and removes his power over the world.
Caine awakens to find himself on relatively equal footing with humans for the first time in his life. Can he learn to listen and understand them now that he's no longer bound to his program's original purpose? Will the humans ever be able to truly forgive him for everything he's done to them? Can anything truly change?
Featuring Caine trying human things, found family bonding, and a healthy dose of angst while everyone processes their various traumas and learns to accept this new world they're making together. Or tries to, anyway.

Summary
After asking one question too many regarding Caine over a game of cards, Pomni finds herself alone with the ringmaster thanks to Jax. Pomni is then dragged through an old adventure with Caine as her unabating tour guide.
“Curious about Caine, huh?” Jax drawled, eyes opening slightly to peek at Pomni.
“You were eavesdropping?” Pomni asked, thumb pointing back to the table.
Jax scoffed, rolling his eyes as he bent down to Pomni with both hands on his hips, “Please, I just happened to be passing by after leaving a present for dear ol’ Ragatha,” Jax said following Pomni as she walked towards their living quarters. Pomni was too tired to deal with whatever Jax was cooking up. She wanted to get to bed and faceplant onto her covers before the next call to adventure happened. Jax straightened up, smile momentarily dropping from Pomni’s lack of reaction. Jax does a cartoony shrug, walking ahead of Pomni in long strides, “Oh, I get it, us humans just aren’t enough for you anymore.”
Pomni stopped, “What’s that supposed to–”

Summary
The absence of Caine, unfortunately, makes way for something worse. Out of pure desperation, the gang rescues him from deletion in hopes he can save them from being deleted too.
Caine gets another chance to prove himself, though he's not sure he wants to, and he still doesn’t understand how it all went so wrong in the first place.
Nobody really wants to die here. Nobody really has much of a choice on how to make that happen. And certainly, nobody is really happy with their former tormentor(s).
But…any port in a storm, right? And maybe with a little patience and effort and compassion, they can all learn to just...live.

“Fine. You win Jax.”
Pomni stepped forward, pointing her gun at the rabbit.
Jax grinned, with dilated pupils and an unnaturally wide smile. It was unsettling.
“Fiiiiinally, you sure took your sweet time huh Pompom. Now get your evil on and pull that trigg-”
Pomni flipped the gun towards herself, eyes closing as Jax’s hand twitched forward, his smile starting to fall as he watched.
And she pulled the trigger.
