wow… this was so incredible and filled with so much depth. fake-dating + miscommunication + avoidance is super common as a theme in fics/ books/ media in general but the back stories and the motivations of the characters in this fic were so well written i absolutely loved it.
How everything tied together, how the story flowed seamlessly from past to present and back, how insecurities, misconceptions and miscommunication led to hurt and anger and resentment, how early childhood, family life and attachment styles shaped their sense of self in the present, how trauma tainted thinking and perception etc. How despite all that, love was still able to grow and be nurtured…

loved this sooooo so much. chanyeol finally opening himself up to experience warmth and growth :(( chanyeol was written so well, the entire circus family was written so well, and the way chanyeol saw baekhyun… he’s just like me. baekhyunee ur such a star
honestly, the scenes with the rest of the circus members made me so emotional. i miss exo so bad even though i kind of hate them for putting me through this at the moment. this was fantastic and magical and so warm. loved everyone’s characterisation. brilliant -

healing injured dancer bin x tree god hao. loved hanbin’s journey of accepting where he’s currently at, at the moment. Also grew strangely fond of his walks in the forest, i need a forest in my backyard that I can escape to at the drop of a hat. found family in this little mountain village ugh i wish my life was like this. nature + soulmate + found family what more could a person want.
haobin were so stinkin cute, especially when they got together in the end. this was just really sweet.
