You brought your hand up to find your swollen, bloody lip and said nothing. You just stared at him with those same tired eyes, hoping he could read your mind.
He huffed a laugh and pressed his thumb to your lip. But instead of wiping it off, he just smeared it further, streaking it down your chin and towards your jaw.
