“Wait, it is! You tricked me.” Ravi announces, loudly.
“Shhh, yell louder, why don’t you.” Eddie puts a hand over his mouth to silence him.
“No, you tricked me, that’s Buck over there. I knew the name was familiar, this is the same place of his speed date thingy he said he’d go to.” He slaps his hand away, but lowers his voice. Not his annoyed tone though.
“I didn’t know this was the same place.” Eddie tries, but he knows it sounds like a weak excuse even to his own ears.
“Don’t give me that, you had a reservation! In your name! You planned this.” Ravi declares pointing a finger at Eddie’s face. And well…

Summary
Well, just look at him.
Driver's voice is flat. The difference from his usual tone is jarring; Driver is generally a quiet man, but that doesn't mean he lacks emotion. Ryland has learnt to identify the small tells in his mild-mannered voice — the lilt in his speech when he smiles, the tight, tense note that his tone takes on when he's feeling on edge, the way his words go all soft and warm when he's being shy. But Ryland doesn't think he's ever heard him sound like this, his voice so utterly devoid of inflection.Does he look like a good guy to you?
In the background, the cartoon keeps playing, the animated shark now segueing into a villainous monologue.
I smell blood and I bite! The shark declares. Its serrated teeth are drawn in identical isosceles triangles. That's just what I do!
It's easy to take a stray dog home. The hard part is keeping him.

Summary
When Grace had reached the age of eight years old, there was one night that when he fell asleep he had a long, long dream. A lifetime's worth of a dream. He watched himself grow, be married off to a terribly abusive husband only to escape by the skin of his teeth before being executed alongside him for the treason he had committed without Ryland's knowing. He watched himself rebuild his life over and over, eventually dying of old age alone and withered. It wasn't exactly a terrible or tragic life, but it was so long and exhausting and painful and Grace just knew he could not endure that again. When he woke up, he was a child again, and he knew it had been a dream. The way one can no matter how real a dream can feel at times.

This is insanely self indulgent and has not been beta read or edited much at all - I will likely tweak and edit this as i go and will def add more tags BUT. If anyone has read the webcomic Lucia this is just sixgrace in that story. I'm gonna tweak alot of stuff, but I've been wanting to write this for a few weeks and I wanna contribute to the sixgrace tag. Please be kind!!
