There's a bruise on Yeonjun's hipbone.
He runs his thumb over it and then lowers his mouth to it, kisses the skin and then bites, hard enough that Yeonjun's hips rise from the bed with a soft hiss and a curse.
"Jealous?" He asks Soobin with a lilt to his voice.
"No," Soobin says, mouth trailing over his stomach. It's not a lie, but then again, Soobin is so used to lying to everyone every day about every little part of him that maybe he's learnt how to lie to himself, too. "Just possessive."

“You’re fucking batshit,” Yeonjun breathed, “completely fucking insane. The heat has fried your brain.”
The words felt true enough. Their living room was spinning slightly around Soobin. His temples were wet with fresh sweat and his esophagus all the way down to his stomach felt hotter than the air in their apartment. He was properly drunk and he couldn’t stand this endless heat anymore.
“I’m already naked,” Soobin shrugged, “and we’re down to our last three bottles of soju. The day isn’t even halfway done and there’s nothing to do. So. Let’s fuck.”

A historical heat wave burns across Seoul. After they give into long repressed urges for the first time, fueled by alcohol and the unending heat of the summer, Soobin and Yeonjun's relationship as roommates is forever changed. The season entangles them in a heated affair that sends them hurtling towards an uncertain ending.
