Summary
“You should marry me.”
For a moment, the world seemed to misalign itself.
George choked sharply on his tea, coughing violently as the liquid went down the wrong passage.
“That is not what I expected to hear,” he said at last, voice roughened. “From an omega I have only just met today.”
Max regarded him over the rim of his own cup, entirely unbothered. “And yet here we are,” he said lightly, as though he had merely commented on the weather. Then his expression shifted—subtly affronted. “What do you mean ‘you just met’? We have known each other since we were children.”
“Yes, but I have not seen you in years,” George replied, recovering his composure. “And when we were acquainted as children, it was under very different circumstances. I can hardly claim I know you now.”
“Yeah? But you know me nonetheless.”
“That is beside the point. I am also very much betrothed to another.”
“To that little omega from the Norris House, yes?” Max said at once, tone light. Then, without hesitation. “Break it off.”

Summary
“George,” Max interrupts, and it's awful because his voice has gone all gentle, soft, the way he's seen Max be with kids and the younger omegas of the grid. “You're presenting.”
“N—no, I'm, Max, I'm twenty-eight, that's impossible.”
“Not impossible, mate. Repressed as fuck, probably, but not impossible.”
“Max, I am not—”
And Max, because he's Max, cheerfully looks George in the eye, listening, and peels his blocker off.

Summary
If the GPDA notes were to be believed, only champions had ever received wings after the final race of the season, exclusively in the manageable size described in Seb's notes, like Lando's, in FIA-sanctioned colours. There was no recorded incident of any kind of deviation, but then. Things were not always recorded for a reason, and George had gradually learned that the absence of a thing in the official record keeping held a very different kind of weight.
Still, moments trickled back to George from the second half of the season. Horner's sacking, Red Bull's almost miraculous comeback, Max hunting other cars down for pole positions and podiums. Red Bull gives you wings. The team had, in horrible irony, seemed to have somehow manifested their tagline. Max had embodied that team in a way that had been awesome and terrible to see.

With six races left in the season, George is closer than ever to what his every waking thought has been consumed by – not only becoming World Drivers’ Champion, but beating Max while he’s at it.
But then a collision on track changes everything: George wakes up in Max’s body, and Max in his.
Trapped inside the life of the rival he has spent years trying to defeat, George is forced to confront a lifetime of bitter feelings, as every win he takes in Max’s body will only be added to Max’s legacy – and intentionally crashing out would just play into the hands of Oscar Piastri, their silent pursuer looming ever closer in the rear-view mirror.
To save his championship, George must do the impossible – get Max Verstappen to cooperate, all while the lines between them begin to blur.
