It’s not like Shane doesn’t jerk off, or anything. He does, has done for the normal amount of time, but he’s uncomfortably aware of how that habit has changed from something he deals with into something that he almost craves, an itch in his body, an ache in his jaw. He wants it, wants to get home and strip, let loose for a second in the privacy of his room. And, he admits to himself, more often than not, what he’s letting loose to is the idea of Ilya Rozanov fucking him.

When they stayed close, when he seemed happy to see them at his games, to have her managing his career, when he seemed not only to love them, but to still like having them around… When he invited her for dinner with his boyfriend and the four of them laughed until the summer sun dropped below the lake, she thought maybe this was one challenge of parenthood she would be spared. Which makes the day it finally happens all the harder to bear.
