Then he picked up the second one.
He picked up every test and examined the results. Then he dug through the little trash can in the stall to check the boxes for their expiration dates. Then he looked at each pregnancy test again, one by one.
Holding the last test in his hands, leaning his forehead against the cold metal of the stall door, Dongsik began to laugh.

TK walks along the sidewalk in a hot Austin toward what is meant to be his ‘fresh start’. So far, he’s too hot, though he’s still wearing his favorite pink hoodie, and he already hates the sight of the massive building in front of him.
He wishes he could go back to New York.
As he gets closer, it gets busier, and though it seems expected—more teenagers heading towards the school on the first day back? Yeah, of course, that’s going to happen—TK hates it. Everyone is new and different, and he swears they’re all staring at him despite the fact this place has hundreds of students who would not be able to tell if he’s the new kid or not. It just feels like everyone is watching.
