When Bucky started being out of the Tower more and more, Sam didn’t think this was why. He never thought Bucky was looking to date anyone, really. He’s known a lot of vets, a lot of people with trauma, and more importantly, he thought he knew Bucky. But, Sam thinks as Brock wraps a muscular arm around Bucky’s shoulders, clearly not. And Brock isn’t the kind of guy that Sam thought Bucky would be into. Because Sam has always thought that maybe it’d be him, or at least hoped for that. Longed for it. Or that it would be someone more like Steve, because Sam does know there weren't strictly platonic feelings between the two throughout all of those years.
But this Brock guy, he looks - he almost looks scary. He looks hardened, and almost mean.
