Ryan calms down after a moment, though he's still grinning, rolling to lay on his back instead of his side, looking up at Naim. His hands are resting on his chest, like he's delicate, like he's not the strongest person Naim knows. Naim can't help but trace his knuckles along the side of Ryan's jaw. "How do you figure you'd like to...?" Ryan talks slowly, like he's testing the waters. "If we ever went all the way."
Naim looks up at the ceiling for a moment, knocking the back of his head against the wall behind them as he gathers his thoughts. He can feel Ryan moving to rub his lips against the side of Naim's finger, pressing a chaste kiss to the webbing between his thumb and index.
He allows his chin to fall back down, narrowing his eyes at Ryan. "I don't know. I didn't really think about it that hard. I thought more about--" he shrugs. "Other stuff."
Ryan tilts his head again so Naim's watching his profile, looking at the wall opposite them. "I'd want you inside me, prob'ly,"

They’re all silent for a second. Bill sets his fork down on his plate, and it makes a soft clattering sound. Eddie folds his wallet back up, then clears his throat.
“Why are we here, Mike?” Eddie asks. It takes him a second before he can lift his head but, when he does, Mike’s looking back at him.
Mike hesitates for a moment before he says, “It’s back.”
It. The memories all flood back, and Eddie feels a coppery taste in his mouth; his hands go numb, cold and tingling as he looks to Richie. Richie looks horrified, wide eyes staring ahead with terror.

The last time he could taste the feeling of someone, or something, wanting him was Ryan. Another spirit deemed evil like him, banished to a life of others hating and fearing you as they forced you into something you weren’t. To say they wanted to be evil was inherently wrong. They didn’t want to be anything. It was fun, most of the time, but there was a haunting sort of loneliness that would settle over you like a stubborn fog, a constant reminder that you were entirely alone in an already lonely hollow darkness.
Naturally, he hadn’t crossed paths with Ryan in a while. Maybe twenty years, maybe two, maybe one day. When time stretched and decades blurred into one meaningless timeline, counting how long it had been didn’t matter to anyone anymore.
