Their collaboration stream ends, and Flux heads straight to the kitchen to scour whatever leftovers he has from the night before for lunch. Then he opens Twitter, goes through his tags and name searches, because that’s what every streamer and anyone with even a semblance of fame does. Completely normal, and a routine thing for Flux after a stream.
A couple of clips, unrelated fanart, random tweets here and there — nothing unusual catches his eye.
That is, until he scrolls far enough to find a clip.
Or, Flux finds out what Saps said through Twitter, and all hell breaks loose.

Summary
At the start of his senior year, Flux is feeling on top of the world. He's won the housing lottery and gotten into his top choice of classes. Even better, the newest season of Decayed and Decrepit (his current fandom obsession) premieres in a couple weeks. In fact, Flux is almost feeling good enough to believe that this might be the year in which he finally works up the courage to confess to his online best friend, Silas, about the years-long crush Flux has on him.
That is, until Saparata shows up: Flux's biggest academic rival and the most insufferable person on campus, who seems determined to ruin Flux's good mood and make his life a living hell.
or: the one in which Flux pines, writes fanfiction, mistakenly falls for the same person twice, and makes a lot of bad decisions along the way.

Summary
This event was supposed to be just one of many, you know? Saparata and Fluixon have been world-hopping and participating to all sorts of servers together for years now, but their last adventure, Theria, left one of them too drained to chase adventure again so soon.
It's probably the first time in years they go down different paths and Saps naively believed they'd make it work, like they always do, but he should have seen the signs of doom in the way his dearest friend hugged his wings around himself at being told no.

And as quick and silent as the words came, so they went. Heard only by the ears of someone who should've been long dead.
Or, Saparata goes back to the beginning, and gets his second chance.
