Summary
Inspired by the Panic! At The Disco song, 'This is Gospel' (seriously, google the lyrics!)
Set during Tony Stark's memorial service, Bucky questions why he's there, his head full of doubts and self-recrimination. Steve shares a potentially life changing decision with him. This is my interpretation what is going through Bucky's head at the time.
The second chapter continues with the theme of a life changing. There is also forgiveness and possibly new beginnings as well as a possible introduction to the upcoming Falcon/Winter Soldier series.
If you're anti Endgame, anti Steve Rogers in this movie then this story will not be for you. There's no ships, no smut just Bucky, Steve and Sam, having a conversation. It's angsty in places, sad in others and I hope, hopeful by the end. Love to hear your thoughts.

Completely AU. Bucky is coming to terms with how his life has changed since the events of 'Endgame as he deals with family, friendships and more.

Continuing on from 'The Beat of His Heart' this story begins immediately afterwards when Bucky and Sam make a decision whether to work for Nick Fury. Time goes by and all seems to be going okay until a chance encounter in a book store threatens to blow Bucky's new carefully ordered life apart. Who is Katie?
