A modern AU, in which Ellie and Joel have never seen each other, until they suddenly keep meeting - outside the building they both go to therapy for, in joels favourate coffee shop where Ellie just so happens to work at, in a group home Joel's been employed to fix where Ellie just so happens to live, etc. without a choice, their lives become intertwined until they can't live without each other.
edit 29k words later: the first chapter is short and not that great, i'm gonna rewrite that at some point if i remember, but it picks up after that, i promise! in terms of both chapter length and writing quality!! ok thanks bye lol
