For years, Evan Hansen has struggled with the burden of knowing he is different -- not just because he's got so much anxiety he can't even order a pizza for himself, but more because he can emit weird laser things from his hands. Yeah, he's fully accepted he's a freak -- but that doesn't mean everyone else would.
Connor Murphy is suicidal and desperate for a way out. As it turns out, walking in on that quiet Evan Hansen kid shooting lasers out of his hands in the school library might just be that way out.
(aka the one where evan's supposed to save the world, connor's just along for the literal ride, and ancient norse gods hate them both)

Summary
Uncle Monty knew exactly who 'Stephano' was, and when he confronted him in the parking lot Count Olaf threw away his plan to wait until they were in the privacy of Monty's home to get rid of him and make it look like an unfortunate accident.
Killing him in the parking lot, taking his truck containing the children, and driving off seemed good enough now.
Fortunately, some mysterious men came to their aid. The children were able to grow up with their Uncle Monty and learn more than they could have possibly imagined about the lives of their guardian and their parents.
(The Together We Make a Family series will be made up of this main story, and oneshots/short stories about different points in the Baudelaires' lives growing up with their Uncle Monty)
