Joel has a tiny little scar right in the center of his forehead from all the times he’d gotten his own head, right where the arrows all found their home. Katherine has little scars all up her arms from the thorns of her beloved flowers.
And yet, no one else has the kind of scars that Jimmy does.

“With a Doctor Doom impersonator officiating.”
“He said we were his favorite couple of the night, by the way,” Johnny said, yawning. “And he just smiled and nodded when you told him you were actually Spider-Man.”

“All good,” Peter returns dizzily, trying for a smile just in case the mask is shredded enough for his pearly whites to peek through.
“Come and get checked out,” she offers. “You can keep the mask on.”
And Peter does what any good citizen would do when given a clear order from a healthcare professional.
He promptly turns and legs it.
