   Summary

   Compared to some of the things that had been carved into his body and life, this was laughably small. Just a fractional misalignment of light on a retina. And yet it pressed on something deeper, some line between youth and after that he had been pretending not to notice.

   Or how Kakashi needs glasses, and somehow that changes more than it should.
