"Give me names, or we'll lock you up. I'd love to do it," Seonghwa grits out.
"Oh, detective, detective," Hongjoong purrs. "Don't be so mad, I'm just playing with you. I'll give you a name, just this once. You know why?"
Seonghwa doesn't answer, but it doesn't deter Hongjoong in the slightest.
"'Cuz you're so pretty."

Summary
Seonghwa had been down this road before; Hongjoong inviting himself over for no reason whatsoever aside to provide Seonghwa with company he never asked for. And Seonghwa knew where the road led, familiar to the both of them in a way that Seonghwa really wished he wasn’t familiar with.
Because the road led directly to Seonghwa’s bedroom, turning what was orderly into organized chaos as their desperation built.

Summary
“Awfully confident, isn’t he? For someone as supposedly fearsome as he, wouldn’t he want a bigger crew?” Snorting, another swig of mead went down the hatch, a satisfied groan followed by a clearing of his throat. “Cocky, I’d say. He won’t last another year with just 30 men. Aye, your story makes me want to take the Treasure for myself, you know. See what her wee captain has to show me.”
“It’s not her captain you need t’worry about.” There was a scoff, followed by a shake of a head. “The rumors about her captain ring quite true. But there is someone far more fearsome on the Treasure; the captain’s wife. They say his wife is a pretty little thing that could put a siren to shame, more entrancing than the sea herself. They say his wife is far more merciless than the captain himself, and is surely a death wish if you meet ‘er eye. The captain is a death wish by all means, but if you’re to meet his wife, you’ll wish the captain had dealt with you himself.”

Summary
I can’t just stand behind this guy like a creep all day simply because he’s attractive. Get it together, Hongjoong.
“I, uh. I should probably go say ‘hi’ to Yunho,” he utters out, voice coming out somewhat scratchy and gravely with sleep. Seonghwa pauses in his movements, turning to look up at Hongjoong in clear confusion.
”Yunho isn’t here.”
Hongjoong frowns, still feeling disoriented. “What?”
”He flew out earlier this morning, a bit after you arrived I guess. He’s on his way to Paris already.”
Hongjoong silently balks. Wait. What?
Or: Hongjoong was meant to spend his layover in L.A. with his childhood friend, Yunho. But when Yunho jumps ship in favor of pursuing his own plans, Hongjoong is left behind for a full twenty-four hours with a complete stranger—Seonghwa.
But maybe the unexpected change of plans flip Hongjoong’s world around in more ways than one.

Summary
It’s happened enough times by now that it feels like a running joke. Seonghwa throws out a complaint about never being praised properly. Hongjoong meets it with an easy grin and just enough teasing in his tone to keep it from tipping into anything serious. The members laugh, the staff laughs too, and the moment passes like it always does.
And afterward, Seonghwa leaves everything exactly as it is. He straightens his posture, gathers whatever dignity remains, and pretends—very convincingly, he thinks—that he has absolutely no deeper emotional investment in the situation whatsoever.
Seonghwa tells himself he is above fishing for compliments. This belief lasts right up until Hongjoong is the one withholding them.
