Summary
At some point during season 8 Etho disappeared, leaving behind a man too far gone for his best friend to realise it. Bdubs continues onto season 9 and builds his solitary monolith.
Today Bdubs leaves his home to a wonderful surprise:
There is a fox sleeping on his welcome mat. A very sad-looking white fox.(or Etho got cursed to be a fox, which, in true fairytale magic, is only broken by true love. Leading him to try and get Bdubs to admit his feelings through dreams and a warming new furry form.)

And he may have made a questionable choice, but he was having a weird day and he hadn’t had a thing to drink since he’d started working on the nether hub and it really, truly wasn’t his fault that he ended up drinking Etho’s so-called love potion.
