Connor frowned. “But it was true, and it was a compliment. The ‘flirting’ dossier I downloaded mentioned that the two essentials to initiating a pleasant encounter with a human are compliments and honesty.”
Hank shook his head, sighing, and mouthing the word “dossier” to himself. Connor was also sure that the human bartender who was filling up a line of glasses a few feet from them was doing her best to stifle a laugh.
If Connor had known how often he would find himself the object of ridicule, he might have considered refusing this assignment.
For all that Connor has been 'free' for over a year now, he finds he still has a lot to learn about being human.
