Summary
Bruce skidded to a halt, breath hissing through his teeth.
Superman’s head came up sharply, like the sound of Bruce’s shock still meant something to him—and it was Clark, but he was different. Different lines on his face, a subtly different curl to his hair, and as he looked Bruce up and down his eyes blew wide.
Bruce’s hand dropped immediately to his belt, a chill sweeping through him. “Not our Kal.”
--
Bruce and Clark have been in a relationship since the founding of the Justice League almost twenty years ago. When the League tries to bring in a thief with stolen reality-shifting technology, Clark is accidentally exchanged with his counterpart from a universe that's almost identical—except he's married to Lois. And they have a son.As each side scrambles to swap their Clarks back, Bruce and Clark find themselves grappling with new questions about their life together, faced with the possibility of things having gone differently for not just the two of them, but their children—the ones they have, and the one they've never met. Along the way, they do their best not to to blow up their counterparts' lives by dredging up any long-buried feelings. (They may or may not succeed at that last.)

Summary
The staff meeting after Cat had broken her foot had involved a lot of reassigning, since she couldn’t exactly do the usual society beat with her foot in a boot. So much that Clark hadn’t really thought twice when Perry had said “and Kent, you’ll take the new Wayne foundation piece,” because sure, he liked working the philanthropy stories occasionally. It wasn’t until they’d gotten back to their desks that Lois had burst into a fit of snickering and said “oh, I would pay money to see how you’re going to handle Bruce Wayne for two weeks,” and Clark had realized how majorly screwed he was.
-
On a two-week assignment, Clark does his best to figure out Bruce Wayne. Bruce does his best to make sure he can't. Unfortunately, they're just too good at working together, even when they don't know it.For Superbat Week 2024, day 1: identity shenanigans.

Summary
As their lunch stretches on Aziraphale slowly comes to realize that Crowley is—enjoying him. Enjoying Aziraphale’s conversation, and company, far more openly than he has in most of Aziraphale’s memory. And Aziraphale knows that he himself is just chattering on, letting conversational tangents carry him along, and—it’s definitely relief, for him, knowing for the first time in a long time that they aren’t being watched, that no one is keeping score for now.
-
Aziraphale realizes that Crowley's been saying something rather loudly for a week. -

Summary
Poe Dameron has spent most of his life avoiding choosing a mate. Alphas are unpredictable; they leave, they get killed, they're given distant assignments. Now he finds himself with two.
Finn was a Beta. Is a Beta. Isn't he? He's no longer with the First Order, and he's changing, and something is very strange about the whole thing.
Rey is an Alpha, but that's not important. Survival is important. Honing her newfound Jedi abilities is important. Jedi do not have mates. Oops.

Summary
Aramis hides it well, but not being able to return to duty bothers him. He hates that Athos, Porthos, and d'Artagnan are out risking their lives and he can't be there to back them up.
Constance knows the feeling. She's intimately acquainted with it, in fact.

Summary
Athos is looking at him like he wants to eat him, and Porthos and d'Artagnan and Constance are suspiciously quiet, and Aramis is not sure about anything anymore.
He tilts his head, trying to hold onto at the very least his dignity, even as his heart starts a steady thmp-thmp-thmp in his throat. "Athos?"
Athos lifts his eyebrows, the picture of bland aristocratic interest. "Aramis?" he parrots back.
(Only the lightest spoilers for the first episode of Series 3.)

SPOTTED: Athos de la Fere, cinema golden boy turned tabloid disaster, skulking through Covent Garden with John Treville, artistic director and owner of The Garrison Theater. Perhaps they're in talks for a show? This would be de la Fere's first foray back into the limelight since last year's disastrous divorce (from Anne de Breuil, spotted p. A6). Will it be a comeback, or another crash and burn?

Summary
He promised. He made a promise to God. Aramis is content to be here--knows it's right, knows it's what he's meant to be doing now.
The loss is penance, too. The constant, gnawing loss devouring his heart is only what he deserves.

Aramis finds the keeping of his vow is somewhat harder than the making of it.

Summary
Porthos is trying not to burn pasta sauce when he hears his laptop dinging in the living room. He jerks in surprise, and sauce slops over the side of the pan onto the burner. Right away, it sizzles and starts to smoke, but Porthos barely notices. His heart's somewhere up in his throat. Only one person would be Skyping him unannounced at nine at night, and that would be someone nine and a half hours ahead of him with an unpredictable schedule.

Summary
"Just say something," Athos sighed.
"I'm thinking!" Aramis protested. "I've done a lot of things, okay, I'm having a hard time coming up with a good one."
This was rapidly turning into simultaneously one of the best and worst games of Never Have I Ever he'd ever played. Best, because he was learning oh-so-many terrible, horrible, wonderful things his friends had done.
Worst, because he was losing badly.

Summary
"Aramis," Athos says, and his voice is strangely even. Aramis looks down at him, hanging by Aramis' arm and one hand on fragile, crumbling stone, and no one should look as calm as Athos does under these circumstances. He's put his defenses back up, his face careful and guarded, and Aramis knows he's going to hate whatever's about to come out of Athos' mouth. "Aramis, let go."
Well. He was right about that.

Summary
"That reminds me," he says, and he is definitely blushing now, blushing like she's never seen him blush. "There's--probably something I should tell you."
He takes a deep breath, staring at the hearthstones, and then swallows, hard. He looks like he's bracing himself for a blow. "When--when we were apart, I, um. I was...with someone else."

Constance is, to her own surprise, very not upset. In fact, she has some ideas.

"It's strange," Aramis said. His voice was flat. "I think I always knew the man he'd been had died in the forest. I just didn't realize it until there was a stranger dead in my arms."
- -
Athos and Porthos show Aramis that he's loved, in the aftermath of "The Good Soldier." (A missing scene from beginning of the episode, and a rather longer one from the end.)

Summary
"We know something happened," Porthos said. "Y' gonna tell us what?"
Athos shook his head, raising his head and staring into his wine cup as if it had some answer written for them. "There's no point." He could barely get the words out. "It's over with now."
-
Post-episode 3. Athos wants (and doesn't want) to be left alone.
