This is the first line of an email that Derek received a day after he bought a copy of the game. A stranger who calls himself Avery and claims to be from the future sent it in an attempt to stop him, but Derek knows that changing the past will cause a grandfather paradox. (Slowish burn bc I didn't want to rush it but I promise it's there. There's not a huge amount of plot, but it is there also. Mainly, though, there's comfort. Lots of comfort. I hope you enjoy these cute little beans falling in love <3)

His black, digital brows were set in a line as straight as the glower at the bottom of his screen. He does a single, slow blink, finger tapping against his hip as he debates on how much money he can reasonably make on a Charlie Morningstar-inspired white-noise machine (and whether the guaranteed customer complaints will be worth the cheap buck) when a movement over her shoulder draws his eyes.
He leans to the side, eyebrow quirking. "What's that?" Then promptly chokes on a surprised noise and shoves Charlie aside. "Holy shit, is that a human?"
Lucifer plays a prank on Alastor.

(OR: In a pacifist timeline, an alternate Sans possessing a human soul appears, risking the newly established peace between humans and monsters. If Classic Sans had hair, he's pretty sure he'd still end up bald.)
