Boromir has been suffering for long before the Fellowship, but only now is Aragorn noticing. Together with Boromir's loved ones, they must find out what's happening with their friend.
Essentially Boromir is a trans woman and is discovering that in this fic. I gain a new favorite character and simply must hit them with queerness. This fic is written with my experiences as a non binary person informing it. Warning that there is misgendering in this fic, but both the person being misgendered and the people around them don't know that they're being misgendered.

Trent’s eyebrow was already on its way up his forehead to silence whoever came up to him like that when he turned around. His eyebrow sunk, and instead, the corners of his mouth automatically curved upwards against his control.
There, dripping raindrops from the tips of his nose and hair, Ted Lasso, the most infuriatingly handsome and devastatingly flirty patron Trent has ever had the luck to encounter in his library, grinned at him over a shoulder-high display shelf.
“Hello, stranger,” Trent greeted him back, and aligned a few books in front of him.

Trent looks terrible. He’s wearing an oversized, grease-stained T-shirt and sweatpants with his glasses pushed up on his head like a headband, barely restraining a multitude of unruly tufts of salt-and-pepper hair. He’s barefoot, his face drawn and pale, bruise-like circles under his eyes, which look dull and sunken. The light coming from outside makes him squint, shielding his face.
He looks terrible, and for some reason, Ted can’t figure out what to do with his hands.
“Jiminy Cricket, you look like you got run over by a truck,” he blurts.
“Thank you, Ted, that’s exactly what I was hoping to hear."
