Mickey is a bartender at The Alley Cat and one day a bipolar, medicated, beautiful, bright smiled, tall, freckled, big pawed, ginger motherfucker walks in and he makes the ground shake and the world stop turning on its axis and Mickey can't stop making a fool out of himself but ginger-fuck doesn't seem to notice.

Summary
It's not an easy life, running cargo through space to the very edge of the sun's influence. Eighteen months ago, when Lip wanted to leave their ship, the Fiona Gallagher, Ian didn't think they'd be able to find another mechanic as skilled. Until luck delivers them Mickey. And don't get him wrong, he's brilliant at his job... but Ian needs more than that from the only other person on board his ship. Like an actual conversation that doesn't revolve around maintenance schedules.
In the present, a few weeks after an engine breakdown and a stressful space walk led Ian and Mickey to finally admit their feelings for each other, they reach the relative safety of Odyssey Station. They're hoping for some R&R, and time to enjoy the relationship they're just starting to build together. Odyssey has other plans. Dr Svetlana Yevgenivna needs passage to Earth for herself and some important research. And just to add insult to injury, Svetlana brings a complication even she doesn't know about.

Summary
Mickey Milkovich returns as foreman of Wallace Ranch after serving two years in prison to find the place falling apart. His brothers have made a mess of their cowboy duties, they're facing financial ruin, and there's a shady developer with his eyes set on the Gallagher's land.
Mickey has to go back to fix things.
But he's not going back for Ian. That part of his life is over and he won't be drawn back in again. Nope. No way.
