Over one hundred thousand years ago, glaciers crept over the body of North America and froze it under a mile of ice. They carried along with them great rocks and boulders and sand and grit, and as they moved, they gouged scars out of the earth.
When they at last reached their southernmost boundary, they left ridges made of those rocks and boulders; a pile of debris not unlike (on a geological scale, at least) the lines of dirt left behind after sweeping dirt into a dustpan.
And now, thirty thousand years after the glaciers melted and retreated, leaving the Great Lakes behind them, it is time for hockey.

Summary
Filks created for the Voiceteam Mystery Box challenge "Tea for Two" thanks to horchata organizing a "Party Line" where pairs of people who had never collaborated closely before wrote and performed filks together, then passed their lyrics on to the next group to write a filk inspired by that one.
