Robb knows duty, he learned it standing at his father’s knee and sitting on his mother’s lap before he had a concept of what it actually meant. He was born to be Lord of Winterfell, Warden of the North. Kingship was never supposed to be on the table for him. But his family has been torn apart one too many times, and war seems endless; his only option now is to burrow in for the long winter, no matter the cost.
(And if that cost is his life? Well it’s a calculated risk he took the day they laid that weighty bronze circlet on his brow, naming him King.)

It was the Great Other, she’d whisper, but never quite explained what this Great Other then was. Therefore, all those hushed conversations and veiled threats did very little to impress Shireen.
The Red Priestess, however, had not failed to instill fear into her. Not of the dark, or of this nameless, voiceless God, but of a simple wooden pole placed on a small stage. -

The next day, she decides that she never wants to see his stupid face ever again.
All told, when she steps through the door to Luke’s diner on the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving only to see Jess Mariano behind the counter, she is 100% certain that she is hallucinating his image. Calmly thinks, ‘Oh. So this is what a psychotic break feels like.’
