"Je vais t'étriper comme le maquereau visqueux que tu es," Chuuya hissed, grip tightening on his collar as he yanked them closer. Like this, Dazai could smell the jasmine of his shampoo and see the anger swimming in his eyes. [“I'm gonna gut you like the slimy mackerel you are.”]
"Oh, Chuuya," he sighed, grinning like a fool. "I love it when you talk dirty to me."
Or, Dazai is convinced (forced) to join his friends for a year in Paris, and he doesn't know a word of French. Chuuya is just hoping to get through school without any strange encounters, and he doesn't know a word of Japanese. They collide (literally) and the situation devolves from there. They figure it out.

By the time he made his way to Chuuya’s apartment, the sky was already devoid of any sunlight— the sky a raging and angry navy blue, shrouded by clouds and the faint light that the moon omitted.
He spent too long sitting there, in that dark and bloody building. He spent hours tracing the dead look on Oda’s face, the dull expression on his skin. By the time he left, the body was cold, another vagrant reminder that everything good passes. He thought of Oda, skin flushed under the bar lights, warmed by alcohol and the idea of friendship. He would never see that again.
