She was gorgeous. Effortlessly, unquestionably, absurdly gorgeous.
Her dark, silky hair was pulled back into a loose ponytail, a few strands escaping to frame a face that looked like it belonged to a sculpture in a museum. Her skin was smooth, with strong eyebrows, a perfectly symmetrical nose and pretty pink lips. And her eyes, a beautiful shade of brown, her gaze gentle but with a certain spark to it, exuding calm and confidence. She had this unhurried way of moving, like nothing could shake her.
As Jongho still found herself dumbly staring at the goddess that had just emerged from the back room of this little nail salon, Wooyoung was suddenly next to her, beaming at the deity with a broad smile.
„Yeosang!! I got you a new victim here.“

Wooyoung and San give him matching unimpressed stares. “And it’s not because you’re emotionally unavailable?”
“How do you know I’m not dating someone right now?” Jongho can feel his pulse in his temple. “I’m a private person!”
“Yeah, but if you were dating someone then why are you still fucking around with Yeosang?” Wooyoung throws in.
Dammit. This is it. This is the moment where a wire fries in Jongho’s brain. He can feel it as it’s happening, the electric sizzle of his synapses melting, even as the words are queuing up and leaving his mouth. “Because it’s Yeosang I’m dating.”

Yeosang’s always been a bit sentimental. Wet, his uncle used to call him. The remains of his friends are impossible to get rid of. Unlike the aforementioned uncle, who when dead, was promptly thrown in the river. But Yeosang’s dearest friends—he carries them with him. In his heart, and in his memory, and in his garden. And San’s skull is in the house, holding open the door to his and Jongho’s bedroom.
Jongho had been squeamish about the skull door-stopper initially. Which, fair. Alive-San never would’ve stayed still for so long. But the sun shone, and the snow fell, and Jongho acclimatised, and the white-shine of San became a comfort of sorts. Yeosang is sentimental.

update: i have probably talked about this fic to all of my friends, i listen to songs while thinking of them, i reread this an ungodly amount of times, forever my favourite !!

Summary
The abandoned manor on the hill, rumoured to be haunted and cursed, has a string of unexplained deaths and misfortunes attached to its name. Desperate, his boyfriend Jongho puts aside his scepticism and enlists the help of the Aurora Paranormal Investigators.
Hongjoong, Seonghwa and Mingi are good at what they do, but they soon realise that this is no ordinary haunting they’ve been called to help with. Why is the basement sealed off? What makes the ghosts so powerful, and why are they fixated on Yeosang? And why does the house seem so weirdly familiar to Mingi?
