“A dozen,” Hawks admits. He skims his fingers up and down Dabi’s chest, careful of the staples. “Maybe more.”
Dabi’s brow pinches. “What happened the rest of the time?”
Four months’ worth of loops replay in Hawks’ mind like a film reel. All the times he tried and failed to change the outcome of the attack on the villa. All the times he wanted to just give up. All the times he did.
“Oh, you know,” Hawks says lightly, mustering his most convincing smile. “Same old stuff.”
When Hawks gets hit with a time loop quirk, he takes it as an opportunity to make things right. In more ways than one.
